• Sets up and maintains service stations in accordance with standards.
• Provides service in accordance with service standards.
• Knows table/seat numbering - takes orders
- and uses Micros system to input orders.
• Ensures food & beverage is served at the appropriate time.
• Thanks every guest when they depart.
• Assists guests with menu recommendations and up-sells to increase the revenue.
• Checks satisfaction of guests in assigned station.
• Ensures tables are always re-set in accordance with table top specifications.
• Is observant and pro-active in maintaining the table clean and glasses replenished.
• Ensure a sufficient supply of all silverware - glassware and chinaware for service.
• Check cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas - rectify any deficiencies.
• Set up and check all equipment needed for table side service.
• Follow up on special arrangements to ensure compliance with such.
• Record order of guest following departmental service procedures.
• Input order into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by kitchen.
• Communicate additional meal requirements and special requests to the kitchen.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness - sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Report any defects in the building - plant or equipment according to hotel procedure.
• Ensure that any accidents to associates - guests or visitors are reported to supervisor/manager on duty/security immediately in accordance with correct procedures.
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Previous hotel experience preferred.
