- ▪ General
o Set up appropriate filling system of existing and potential accounts - keep up to date and properly categorized.
o Maintain prompt response to all enquiries or correspondence from customers and prospects.
o Assure the proper handling - use and maintenance of office equipment of the work areas.
o Provide other marketing support services to the superior and other sales staff as directed.
o Develop new business for the property and maintain business relationship with potential and existing accounts.
o Ensures the fulfillment of customer’s requirement and commitment based on assigned market.
o Sell guest room - banquet facilities and other thing
- follow up old accounts and to constantly seek for new accounts through sales calls
- building blitzes
- newspaper lead or other sources.
o To create immediate awareness of the product both in local and international market.
o To update Delphi system by updating data and activities accurately.
▪ Sales & Marketing
o Sell guest rooms - banquet room and other facilities such as special promotion packages by physical sales call and telemarketing.
o Research and report market intelligence and competitive information such as average rate - sales activities
- and special promotional campaigns.
o Establish strong account base and maintain good relationship with customers - both bookers and In- House guest.
o Develop regular sales action program in consultation with Supervisor in order to achieve individual goals and objectives.
o Make a minimum of 4 or more calls per day - of which two (2) must be new customers. Sales calls report must be submitted for review once a week.
o Organize regular visits in accordance to a predetermined plan.
o Ensures the availability of after-sales services to customers.
o Regular sales servicing and coverage according to customer’s potentials and requirement.
o Defines guest requirements precisely and ensures services are provided according to sales commitment.
o Conducts hotel inspection for customers and ensure all important guest are well taken care of.
o Negotiates prices with customers in order to achieve maximum results and productivity.
▪ Administrative
o Assist in the annual planning of his/her designated market in coordination with Supervisor.
o Maintains and updates database of designated customers for customer servicing and property information updates and direct mailing campaigns.
o Submits Weekly sales reports and customer’s feedbacks to Supervisor.
o Ensures that customer’s invoicing corresponds to sales commitment and services rendered.
o Ensures that new customers have no negative credit references.
o Records the statistics of his or her sales efforts and accounts.
o Submits monthly goals and objectives - Weekly Sales Call Plan and maintain database of all key accounts.
o Maintain and implement sales database system.
o Prepare special reports as and when it may be required.
o Ensure attendance and participation to the Division’s meeting through customer feedback - competition information

- problems arising and uniformly develop sales and marketing plans.
o Confirms verbal proposals to customers in writing.
o Report customer feedback and complaints to Department concerned and see to it that necessary action is done to appease clients or customers.
▪ Technical Responsibilities
o Submits sales performance of his/her designated accounts with analysis and recommends strategies to achieve set goals and objectives.
o Recommend the solutions and strategies to further improve the performance.
o Customer’s requirement has to inform to operational staff for efficient customer servicing at certain level.
o Negotiate and efficiently uncover customer’s needs and wants and offer corresponding property service and facilities in order to make a sale.
▪ Commercial Responsibilities
o Keeps one abreast with product knowledge and competitive activities and strategies.
o Keeps track of respective market’s price acceptance and pricing strategies of competitive hotels.
o Closely keep track of competition (sites - prices
- service offered) on a regular basis quarterly or more offer as needed.
▪ Human Responsibilities
o Closely coordinate and supervise client’s administrative requirement with his/her designated sales coordinator.
o Encourage customer loyalty and strengthen client relationship with both bookers and in-house guests by hotel inspection - meal entertainment and special activities.
▪ Public Relations Responsibilities
o Develop & foster good rapport with the public - the industry
- customers and members of the trade in an effort to ensure and promote a good image of property.
▪ Direct Liaison
o Reports directly to the ADOS / DOS.
▪ Functional Liaison
o Sales Manager maintains contacts with all the other departments of the property.
o Maintains and ensures fulfillment of client’s requirement with the operation staff.
▪ External Liaison
o Sales Manager maintains contacts with professional people - and designated companies assigned to him/her.
▪ Replacement & Temporary mission
o In his/her absence - SM may be replaced first by another sale.
o Take up new assignment/duties as and when required by the Supervisor. SM may be call upon to undertake activities outside his/her own area and to publicize hotels other than his/her own for specific market / accounts.
o To be ready and responsible when assigned to perform any other duties as designated by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business
- Marketing
- Communications
- or equivalent.
- Proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Demonstrates familiarity with budget software and financial management.
- Excellent command of English language - knowledge of other languages is a plus.
