- Develop and manage sales plans and strategies.
• Manage and develop existing accounts for the Resort.
• Maintain and develop designated markets - regularly conducting sales calls to increase awareness of the resort.
• Conduct continuous research on potential accounts.
• Liaise closely with the resort’s team for any feedback from accounts that needs following up.
• Target accounts - markets
- or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation
• Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses - economic trends
- supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
• Closes the best opportunities for resort based on market conditions and resort needs.
• Drive and develop new business for the resort.
• Provide key interface with Operations and regional sales teams.
• Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in various sales activities.
• Work closely with the Revenue Manager to contribute to the room revenue optimization.
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or related professional area.
• Minimum 2-5 year experience within a hotel/resort environment in Indian Ocean or in a beach destination.
• Track record in sales achievements.
• Familiar with the leisure market - especially with European tour operators.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and computer literacy is a must. Knowledge of Opera PMS - GDS and third party distribution would be an asset.
